What are we SEEING?

Description

---
View from High Line Park (New York City)
----
As I stood at the current end of the High Line--two or three stories above 30th St.--(the park is still being extended), I was struck by this view. Except for the big crane, that seems to "belong" BELOW the bridge, the views above and below seem SO Different.
----
Well, it IS a strange illusion, because the scene below the bridge is nearby, and the scene above the bridge is more distant (except for the crane, of course and the "Zebra" thing).

--------
(If you haven't seen Bob Cammarata's latest "Relentless Pursuit" tale, you're missing a GEM. Google "fish tales relentless" to find it.)
