1/200s @ f/6.3, ISO 2000, 300mm lens with 2X TC. (Animals)
Help! Can anyone identify what type of sparrow this is? These birds live in dense bushes beside our deck and seem to eat constantly. Although I've looked them up in "Birds of North America" Field Guide, I am stumped.

Thank you all very much for stopping by and for the help! I never thought of going online for this bird ID (although I have with other birds) and did not see "house" sparrow in my book at all (just dozens of other sparrows). But now that I went online - house sparrow it is!!! I knew it must be pretty common - in fact I was going to call this "Just an Ordinary Bird" but thought better of it! #8851033Carol L. Beautiful sparrow capture! And I think they ALL eat constantly! I even get buzzed while I refill the feeders. They cannot wait even a little while for food! #8851046Rona L. Schwarz August 20, 2010
Right!! Actually, I remember you had a great sparrow capture and went searching for it to help identify mine. But yours is quite different except they are both pretty chunky and round! #8851062Debra R. Harder August 21, 2010
