Morticia's Delight! [Photography Contest Flower Photos]
Uploaded: August 13, 2010 02:44:54
-----
TASTE is a funny thing. I found these blooms (Datura metel 'Black Currant Swirl', aka 'Downy Thornapple')to be luscious, but others in my midst were exclaiming that it was the UGLIEST, most SINISTER looking flower imaginable. And then they cringed!
--------
These three blossoms were not close enough to shoot together, so I resituated them after the fact. Two photos were used to create this image.
------------
Oh, by the way, all parts of this plant are poisonous, if ingested!

Those trains move at incredible speeds between cities although if you want to get from LA to SF by train, you would get there faster by bus because the trains will often stop to let other trains go by...yet on that train ride north of Santa Barbara you will see coastline not accessible by autos... #8829821
