Thank you Peter, Rod and Roxanne. I don't know that this qualifies as macro photography, perhaps it does. I thought macro photography inferred that I must take the picture close up but in this case the lily was perhaps 10 feet away using the f/2.8L, 300mm prime lens with a 2X teleconverter included. I did enter it in the Macro contest. It's wonderful what the camera does for us. It allows us to closely examine and admire the wonders of this Earth with such detail that the naked eye can not match. #8859714R. J. Laudenbacher August 26, 2010
