Beautiful capture Steve! #6764626David Pratt November 17, 2008
Wonderful summer shot Steve, A beautiful beach, it looks like the ocean. Great color and tones in the sand and sky. Try a horizontal flip. I think if you did this your eye would be more drawn into the photo and spend some time on the beach and see the sailboat as well.dave #6765238

Thanks very much, Rolan, Tommy, Dave and Tammy.David Pratt November 18, 2008
I like it. I think youe eye stays on the beach longer and takes it all in. The first version I just follow the little stream out of the image. #6772066Steve M. Harrington November 18, 2008
Hmm...I like the way the stream leads into the image in the flipped version, but the clouds now lead me out of the picture. Nothing is ever simple, huh! :) #6772788David Pratt November 19, 2008
Nope, never is....But this just goes to show you how we all see the same image differently. #6773527Patti Coblentz December 02, 2008
How about less sky? I know it's an EP...but I think that taking about 1/4 of the sky or a tad more will give it incredible depth.. in my humble, forthright opinion. I already tried it on the screen...it's my choice. Great minds think differently. Left, right, center...onward ho.Steve M. Harrington December 02, 2008
Here it is. I humbly bow to your forthright eye, Patti. What you are advocating is the Rule of Thirds, which I should have used here. I think the image is definitely improved.Patti Coblentz December 02, 2008
The original, personally. Indeed, Big Britches...the rule of 3rds?Steve M. Harrington December 02, 2008
Thank you. I agree. My note should have read Smarty-Pants, btw...sigh.Vladan D. Djordjevic December 02, 2008
