Very impressive macro. Nice work!David Guzman June 09, 2010
Bob, except for the "chopped" right wing, this is an outstanding hoverfly image! I love it! #8682779Bob Cammarata June 09, 2010
Thanks "Archie" and David for your comments. This little guy was quite tiny and twitching around as I was attempting to manually focus on it's eyes and abdomen...while balancing a tripod-mounted camera and bellows in a precarious position.
A fast shutter and flash froze everything but the limited DOF in extreme macro rendered that right wing a bit out of focus.
