Grrrreat capture Sherrye! If I had stumbled upon this perfectly composed scene I'm afraid I would have been so excited that I'd have scared off the frog! LOL Wonderful job and congrats on making finalist! #3403107Chris Ebben October 12, 2006

Sherrye! I miss you girl! Hope all is well. Saw your note on Koko last week. My heart goes out to you, and Cinnamon too. Hope all else is going well? I still loooove this above capture and can't wait until your weather & conditions improve so you'll take your camera out again! #3920406Sherrye Nozaki February 07, 2007
Hi Crystal. This photo taught me something unexpected. First, I wish I never sold this camera. It was a small megapixel camera and I wanted more; however, I'm finding out that more megapixels is not necessarily going to get you a better photo! I picked up a used Sony 717 to replace it thinking it would be as good or better...not! (I have many other cameras as well, but just can't seem to replace the quality of that old 505. I'm also finding out through much trial and error, not every camera of the same type and model gives the same picture quality! It's very interesting. I'll drop you an email and let you know about our horrific wind storm last week! Aloha ~ Your friend, Sherrye:) #3920615Nikki McDonald February 10, 2007

Sherrye, I wasn't a member when you recieved this finalist, but congrats on capturing this beautiful image! The color of the lily is gorgeous and the frog is such and added bonus! I hope you framed this one! Also, while FL is beautiful, I know it is even more beautiful where you are! Lucky you to live in Hawaii! #3958802Sherrye Nozaki February 17, 2007
Thank you Carol. Like the title says, I just got Lucky (with the frog)!I feel the same about where you live, I really do miss the mainland, it's been over 35 years since I lived there and I would love to retire there someday! #3958844

Thanks so much Tessa, I wish I never sold that camera, it was my lucky camera:) #4104416Boyet C. Asehan April 12, 2007
I really like this one. Specially the pink/purple color against the green background. Pretty good composition too.Boyet/Rodrigo from DPreview #4160516

Thanks Boyet/Rodrigo from my other daytime home dpreview.com forums!!! That place is additing as a soap opera!I did get "lucky" on this photo. The screen/display on the Sony 505 wasn't the best so I didn't even see the frog at first! Good thing he stayed there long enough for me to get the shot!
Thanks for stopping by:) #4160574
