New Zealand Parrot [Photography Contest Pictures of Animals & Wildlife Photography]
Uploaded: March 09, 2010 18:57:35
The Kaka is one of New Zealand’s three native parrots. It is a large, boisterous and social bird with a raucous voice. Taken at a native birds’ nature park just outside Rotorua.
This is a combination of two different images: the parrot, and a Fiordland waterfall close-up as background texture.

Thanks Dick! Coming from you that's a real compliment!!! I love to shoot waterfowl and have been to Florida several times, but I was just learning and the images reside in my archives. Want to get back to Ding soon. Hope one day to be half as good as you! #8459520Freddy Bland April 18, 2010

There is so much right about this image Rona that I would expect it will get its due reward. The exposure is perfect, the background is interesting and pleasing but not competing with the subject. You should be very proud of this photograph. The best of luck. #8548737Rona L. Schwarz April 19, 2010
