Reflections of the trees in a harbor in Hawaii
Piper Lehman May 15, 2002
Patricia, your work gets better and better with each entry. Love this one, and I also love your shot from yesterday of the pastel store fronts in the shade. I meant to comment but got "called away" from my sanctuary (my computer) to do "mom" stuff. *Sigh* Nice, nice, nice! #5560Patricia Marroquin May 15, 2002
Thanks Piper. This was actually taken years ago on a trip to Hawaii. Hawaii used to be a very regular vacation destination for us, but we haven't been back since we got married on Maui 3 years ago and I'm really missing those islands! Aloha! #7990Damian P. Gadal July 22, 2002
This is a fantistic one in a million shot!!! #9949Patricia Marroquin July 22, 2002
Thanks Damian. And that's about how many photos I could take in Hawaii -- a million. Such a picturesque place. #9975Brenda Tharp August 27, 2004
Hi, Patricia - I was amazed when I came upon this photo! I have an almost identical image in composition with the boats in the background, but the light is different in mine. It's a great place, isn't it? Glad that you also saw the graphics and reflections that made this such a great photograph. #739285Patricia Marroquin August 28, 2004
Hi, Brenda, thank you! Yes, it's a beautiful place. And it's been years since I was there and photographed this scene. Actually, in mid-October we are going back to the Big Island and will be staying at the hotel next to the one where this scene is. So I'm looking forward to photographing it again. Jeff Robinson and his wife Leena were just there and they took somewhat similar photographs of this scene. Where can I find your image? I'd love to see it. #739972Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
