An Ant Named Sisyphus [Contest Finalists February 2010]
Uploaded: February 09, 2010 03:47:19
Unlike the Sisyphus of Greek mythology (who the gods forced to roll a boulder up a hill and watch it roll back down for eternity) this Sisyphus probably touched antennae, or bumped thoraxes, with his buddies once he got back to his group with this large yucca seed. I used Topaz Adjust to give a bit of color to the sands of White Sands. He was in the middle of a dune a long, long way from any ant activity at the moment I saw him.
