Hi,Dwayne D. Dowdell November 18, 2001
I have to agree with Gerda, somewhat disturbing but effective in evoking a sense of impending doom. Dwayne #2786Sue B November 18, 2001
Between the severe lighting, the dead-end path, and the head of the child tilting downward, it does send a message of hopelessness, being stuck in a stark existance. Whether intentional or accidental, I think it's a strong photograph.IMHO,

Children of the Corn.... I love this shot. It came out VERY cool. Debra, whatever emotion you were trying to show---well, it is all there. I think one could argue that there is happiness in the photo, only, fake one. To me this photo directly represents how I felt like a little kid. Surrounded by adults who just didn't care.I don't find the image disturbing at all, for I believe that it directly reflects how most of us felt at that age (by most of us I mean metal heads :)
Childhood is not only about eating grandma's best pie or smelling roses all day.
Rock on,
Vasko
