submitted 9/29/09, landscape. This is a stream typical of those that join lakes in Quetico and Boundary Waters. The portage trails follow either these streams or the lowest point between lakes. (I don't think I would take a canoe down this!) Tripod, f16, 3.2 sec, ISO400.

Beautiful! Inviting! Makes me wish I was there to see this! I love what everyone else mentioned - the water veiling, the lighting, shadows, pov, etc. etc. - all excellent - but what really "floats my boat" is the awesome green of the moss you captured; how the sun reflects off it...it just looks so lush..OK, OK, I admit it, I'm a moss lover!
