Worker ants [Contest Finalists August 2009]
Uploaded: August 06, 2009 14:41:21
Taken in early afternoon sun with a Canon 180 L macro lens.
These plants are supposed to attract butterflies, but so far all we have seen are ants.
I hope you have a fantastic day!
Thank you for all the encouraging comments.

Kim- Another fabulous entry into your already beauitful gallary. Fantastic work with the camera and getting this clear and sharp macro of the flowers and the little visitors. Your lighting and clarity are right on. The shape of the flowers fasinated me and especially the center with the mushroom shaped stigma. That is so cool. Beuatiful colors of the flowers that would brighten any garden. I love the intense sharpness of the ants features as they work to get the goodies.Courtenay Vanderbilt August 08, 2009
