Near the base of an ancient tree in the Meadow at Bowmans Hill Wildflower Preserve (Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania), in OPPRESSIVE heat, my camera isolated this patch of multiple generations of Queen Anne's Lace.

The image "grew on" me!

Just absolutely gorgeous, Michelle! #10261314frank w. degenhardt August 03, 2012
The Queen Ann always reminds me of the doilies that grandma used to make. So pretty and elegant. Its a shame sometimes that a plant has to be called a weed especially when it produces beautifully colored flowers like this that the butterflies seem to enjoy a lot. Beautiful pictures my friend. #10261428Carol L. Fowler August 03, 2012
These flowers seem to be everywhere! Hope the heat lessens. We have had a few days of respite from the heat. #10261469John Connolly August 03, 2012
