This was my most successful shark shot. Not the best, but I kind of like it anyway. VERY dark in there.
Carolyn M. Fletcher March 08, 2004
Here's another even less successful one. This one shot from the tunnel where they are all around you. #104725Colleen Braun March 08, 2004
sharks belong in dark places, actually I like the tunnel one... #413390Rob Friedman March 08, 2004
Very cool! Nicely composed...I kinda like the dark lighting, it gives the shark a stealthy look. #413397Patricia A. Kuniega March 08, 2004
They're both great for totally different reasons! I do like the one you posted because it is dark (not too dark!) and mysterious and makes him look stealthy. It captures the essence of the shark. #413398Gianna Stadelmyer March 08, 2004
I agree! The darkness gives him a more dangerous feel...lurking in the dark, depths of the ocean. Love the composition as well. I would imagine this would be a tough shot to get as dark as it is and with a subject that is constantly moving! Great job! #413403Kathleen Clemons March 08, 2004
Okay, now I'm going to have the theme from "Jaws" in my head all day... lolGabriela Cunha March 08, 2004
WOW! I like both shots!Carolyn M. Fletcher March 08, 2004
Thanks Colleen, Rob, Pat, Jan, Kath and Gaby! The first one was actually sitting on a little ledge. I didn't know they did that. It seems to me I heard they had to keep moving. Maybe I dreamed that part. The hardest part was trying to find them as they came out of the dark in time for the digital to catch them before they were out of range again. Not easy, at least for me. #413426Allan L. Whitehead March 08, 2004
There's something fishy going on here Carolyn. Very well done, my friend. Compostion is terrific and you can almost hear the silence and how this shark is coming out of the dark, from nowhere. Great shot Carolyn - Allan #413433Dominique Declerck March 08, 2004
SHARK!!I think this picture in full screen size would show better the whole beautiful/strong impression..
.. great picture, Carolyn!! #413453

Did you go over to the Dark Side on us Carolyn? Nicely done and it does look like the typical place that a shark would live! Jeff #413502Claudia Kuhn March 08, 2004
For being in the darkness, the shark is very sharp and clear!Carolyn M. Fletcher March 08, 2004
