Another beautiful portrait! Great DOF! She is quite the model! Just gorgeous! #1091449Anthony L. Mancuso March 02, 2009
Thanks Debbra..she is my cousins daughter and has a lot of experience in front of the camera so she is a joy to photograph :-) #7234445Dale Hardin March 03, 2009
Such a lovely girl Anthony and a beautifully shot portrait.I do find the "tattooed arm" distracting though. I know it's just the shirt design but it draws the eye constantly away from her. I think the image would be just as effective with it cropped out. #7237796

What a gorgeous model Anthony, (and she could easily "make" it as a model with that lovely bone structure and smile! I have been trying to think of a title, (based on her hat, or knitted apparel) but am coming up blank so far! I also noticed her "tattooed" arm, and agree that the shot would not lose any of its impact from a crop. I love how you have her posed on that lovely old fashioned chair. Excellent job all around!! #7238082Aimee C. Eisaman March 03, 2009
Okay....title....."First Impressions"! Because anyone that looks at this shot is going to have a strong first impression! Beautiful DOF.....is she on the chair or is it further back? Such awesome light! Natural? I too agree that the tatto shirt just doesn't go with this shot. It's cool, but too distracting from her face! Superb work! :~) #7238269Anthony L. Mancuso March 03, 2009
Thanks for the input everyone..i will clone that sleeve out for sure. She was on, next to, and behind the chair during the shoot but I think she was standing in front of it for this one. This is all natural window light, which as you know, can be challenging..It seemed bright near the window, but I was shooting with my 50mm 1.8 at f2.2 and only getting shutter speeds of 1/50 - 1/60 at ISO 200, which is fairly slow to me for hand held and moving around a lot. Many of the natural light shots I took during this shoot did not come out as sharp as a result. #7238413

First Impressions works!! ... however I am also struck by what she is wearing... and thinking along the line of "Winter's Fashion" or some such. #7238436Anthony L. Mancuso March 03, 2009
Thanks for the help guys, Joan your idea sparked what I went with..thanks! #7238545Debbie E. Payne March 03, 2009
Maybe it's just because I work at a high school and see these kind of shirts as well as real tatoos that I kind of liked the image because it incorporated the old (chair) and new (tatoo shirts). But I do agree that it could be cropped for a more traditional look. Great job either way you look at it! #7238862Ellen H. Robertson March 03, 2009
Fabulous work. You really brought out her beauty. Love the soft light. #7238962Anthony L. Mancuso March 03, 2009
Thank you Ellen and Debbie :-) #7238967Joan E. Hoffman March 03, 2009
Winter Chic is PERFECT!! She just looks so .... well just So Chic! LOL. Excellent Anthony! (or do you actually go by Tony?) #7239197Jodi M. Walsh March 03, 2009
love the title! and this is a beautiful portrait with wonderful lighting. I know the struggle that can be. #7239529Anthony L. Mancuso March 03, 2009
Thanks J+J...yes Joan I do prefer Tony even though I list myself as Anthony so I don't sound like some kinda pizza guy...fuhget about it! #7239568Jeanine M. Bailey March 03, 2009
This is a GREAT portrait Tony!!! I can see what they are saying about her shirt BUT like Debbie, I work in the schools and THIS IS the style so I understand it and can look past it. #7239703Anthony L. Mancuso March 03, 2009
Hmmm there seems to be varying opinions about that shirt sleeve now, Dale started the commotion but I think he is just used to seeing girls dressed in flapper dresses and poodle skirts :-P #7239818Dale Hardin March 03, 2009
Tony, was that an old F*** joke? LOL You're right, I just don't understand how they dress these days, but on a serious note, I really felt the sleeve was too distracting.Flapper Dresses?!?? I'm not THAT old!! :-) #7239874
Anthony L. Mancuso March 04, 2009
Sorry Dale...i couldn't resist! #7241489Aimee C. Eisaman March 04, 2009
I think of myself as young and hip (I'm only 23 according to my 6 year old.....I love him!) I like those cool tatto shirts....had one when I was a teenager, but to me it just doesn't go with the sweater, but hey.....to each their own. Flapper Dresses....LOL...poor Dale...getting picked on again! :P Love the title btw! #7242480Christie R. Bielss March 04, 2009
She is quite a beauty Tony. While I love these shirts on the kids, and they look so cute in them, I don't like it photo'd. There's just too much going on and my eye went straight to it before really seeing her face. She's what? @ 10 years old?Hey Tony - you're worried about being confused with a pizza delivery boy? Does your car have a lawn mower for an engine and duct tape holding up the rear bumper which also doubles to keep the trunk closed? Or are you just saying that to deflect the "Rocky" and "Godfather" comments? Yo! :) #7244500

Chrstie let me make you an offer you cant' refuse, using my olive oil voice and guinea charm....(you know what I mean if you are well versed in one of the movies you refer to in your last comment) #7244781Christie R. Bielss March 05, 2009
Oh man - I guess the concrete boots are next, right?I still love this shot - other than the sleeve. You really did a fantastic job with this. #7246945

Fuhget about it Aimee!! I don't necessarily think you guys were wrong..I have critiqued images that have earned EP's and felt like I was wrong...but then I realized that EP only means good, not perfect! #7254328Lisa J. Boulden March 11, 2009
