Winter Pastel - Cades Cove 1-24-09 [Photography Contest Nature & Landscape Photos]
Uploaded: March 15, 2009 08:08:51
Canon 28-200mm lens @ 135mm f/8 HDR Image tone-mapped with Photomatix Pro. Category: Composition - Rule of Thirds. Here I placed the tree to the left of center, which adds just a bit more weight to the right portion of the photograph, and allows the viewer's eye to find the bare trees in the background and the streak of light in the field, both of which I found interesting. It also gives the fence and road a bit more room to run. The additional space to the right gives the impression that the tree is "looking" down the road to the right, waiting for a traveler to discover it.
Exif: F Number: 8, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/50 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 135.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 20D
