Boy at chalk mines [Cute Babies & Baby Pictures]
Uploaded: June 15, 2001 20:14:05
Nikon N80, Sigma 28-105mm Lenses, auto exposure, Kodak 400. Taken at an abandoned chalk (kaolin) mine. Trying to capture the feeling of my son in this vast desert looking area..he was looking for fossils. Didn't completely get the "feeling" I wanted.

Pat, what disturbes most at these pics is the lens flare (typical for zooms when shooting vs. the sun). Avoid it but using another angle towards the sun, or use a lens hood. #407Pat Lowe June 25, 2001
Thanks for the comments. Really just getting started in photography. Having to get used to the "rule of thirds" theory. Also, I keep forgetting that I can crop photos :)Kris Haskins June 26, 2001
A polarizer may have been able to darken the sky a little. Due to the angle to the sun, it may not have been too effective. #411Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
