Airplane Curves [Planes, Trains, and Automobiles ]
Uploaded: September 15, 2012 05:36:37
For the PG101 "Curvature" theme: Airplane parts are curved for a purpose - if they were like boxes with sharp edges, they couldn't get off the ground, let alone stay in the air without dropping like a rock. This one comes from the Military Aviation Preservation Society (MAPS) Air Museum in North Canton, Ohio (at the edge of the Akron-Canton Airport). Lots of old planes and military aviation memorabilia here! Have a wonderful Saturday, everyone - and Go Bucks!

Thanks! Obviously the museum is dedicated to military aviation, but a big emphasis in on KIAs and MIAs. It's quite a special place that gets no government funding and is run by an all-volunteer staff. #10323940Nancy L. Green September 15, 2012
