Grape Barrels [Close Up Pictures of Fruit]
Uploaded: July 08, 2012 16:42:16
Evidence of wine production dates as far back as 8000BC. During an extensive gene-mapping project in 2006, archaeologists analyzed the heritage of more than 110 modern grape cultivars, and narrowed their origin to a region in Georgia, where wine residues were also discovered on the inner surfaces of 8,000-year-old ceramic storage jars. I started this photographic series with a bottle of wine, some grapes and a couple of casks. However the wine never made it to the posing table. This liquid panacea ("remedy for all ills") makes men invincible, women beautiful, and the world soooo mush niysher (LOL!).
