Lanthorn Tower is just one of the 21 towers that form the Tower of London castle complex. The Tower of London magnificent architecture covers 18 Acres, and almost all the English styles. The Tower has served as a fortress, a palace, and a prison.
The Lanthorn Tower was named for the lantern - placed in the small turret on top of the tower - serving as a guide at night for ships on the Thames.

Great capture, and information. The black and white tones and your composition work well together to create a sort of eerie feeling. #10168832Joy Rector June 05, 2012
