Dreams of China [Contest Winner Pool November 2007]
Uploaded: November 24, 2007 04:04:42
Composite of five photos taken with three different digital cameras. The boat and terra cotta warriors are from my trip to China. The waterfront is the Arthur Kill from Perth Amboy, NJ. The heron is at a local NJ park and the fan and chopsticks were made in China. Layers were combined with the background waterfront using either soft light blending (warriors and fan) or hard light (boat and heron) along with variable opacity. The dreamy effect was achieved with a soft focus filter on a feathered oval. The Chinese characters spell "China" (I hope). All editing was done in Paint Shop Pro X2.
