I agree. This is a great photo. Congratulations! best regards, Donna #976Richard Weiner September 07, 2001
Yes indeed I echo Glenn and Donna's reponses. It is a great shot. Interesting how you managed to get so much light on the walls of the alleyway and not burn out the blue sky in the windows across and behind the (?)church.Guy D. Biechele September 12, 2001
Thank you for the comments! There was very little manipulation done on this photo ( small adjustments to rotation, levels, and saturation done in PhotoShop). The photo was taken about midday, so there was enough light coming into the alleyway, and the walls were not too dark. +Guy #1094Mary B. McGrath October 21, 2001
Great shot. I love all the angles.Susie Peek-Swint September 21, 2006
Fantastic light, reflections, and sharp detail on the walls ~ I can see why the judges awarded such a prize ~ well done! You have so many beautiful shots it makes me want to revisit New England! #3341763Rosemary Sampson August 21, 2007

I totally missed this grand photo Guy! A big congratualations on your wonderful Boston image and your win. A wonderful vertical gradient of the city plus old and new textures!! Well done. #7199424Lisa B. North March 06, 2009
This one took me back a few years! I used to work in downtown Boston - the big blue skyscraper near the old state house and I also worked in that old building that looked like a castle across from the aquarium (my office was in the "tower room". At first I thought this was that building, but I think it's the building right around the corner from the Black Rose Bar. Fantastic shot in any case! I need to visit that great city again soon.
