Thanks again, Deborah! Your comments mean a lot to me!Bunny Snow December 19, 2007
This is amazing. In the bird, I like the darker tonality, which emphasizes the shades of the feathers. I also like the bird sitting on the right side of the frame so that the eye moves from left to right and then back again, to the diffused background which brings one back to the bird. This, is very nicely done. I wonder if one could use a flash photographing birds, set -1/3 to 3/3 and HS, ETTL.

Thanks Bunny! I seem to be much better with birds than with portraits! :))HSIHAO LUNG December 19, 2007
Congratulations on this beautiful win, my friend! Way to go!Bunny Snow December 19, 2007
Wayne,I meant to write (but did not have my glasses on) to try using -1/3 to -2/3 in ETTL mode with a high speed flash.
However, I have no experience at photographing birds, nor do I have a lens that is adequate in length.
You do a wonderful job with portraits considering it's a first time. I don't mean to be so critical and nitpicking.
You have the wins and the admirers who love your landscapes and birds that no doubt you received with practice. Everything takes experimenting and practice.
Congratulations on your finalist win!
