Hi Carol, I am going to critique some of the photos of yours with discussions and tell you why the pictures are good... This may help you understand what your are doing right..The high angle(shooting down into the valley); on this one is lovley along with the saturation of color and the nice leading line of the river into the distance...The framing of the foreground trees give the photo some depth. In a landscape, it is very important to add a little bit of forground interest. If you added something into this photo that was even closer than those trees, it would have been even better than it is already.. You did a good job on the DOF too. Sharp forground and background are very important in this kind of landscape.. #14562
