Raptor Delight [Contest Finalists August 2007]

This Red Kite is one of the captive raptors kept at the hawk conservancy centre in Hampshire, UK. This bird has been involved in a breeding program that has resulted in fledged birds being reintroduced localy back into the wild where they have thrived and have already started to rear young of their own.
100-400L IS, 1/125th @ f/6.3, ISO 200.
