Forgotten Corner [68555 Travel & Place ]

Contax ST, 80-200 zoom, F8 at 1/30 sec, Velvia. Fintry Churchyard, Campsites, Glasgow, Scotland. A quiet corner at the back of Fintry church on the outskirts of Glasgow. It was winter and a savage frost had deep frozen anything out of the reach of the sun's first warming light. The sky overhead was the clearest blue hence the cool shadows. Only this Celtic cross was warmed by the sun.

I love this photo, Ian. The detail and DOF are beautiful. I can feel the cold and loneliness in the blue - the sun on the cross really adds warmth and gives depth to the photo. Wonderful photo! #4393350Ronda Chatelle June 20, 2007
