Split P Soup [69365 Digital Darkroom]

For Photogroup 101 "What;s on your plate?" theme
The concept was the easy part; but I had no idea how hard the execution would be. I used two cans of vegetable alphabet soup and one tomato (the vegetables caused clutter). I wanted lots of the letter "P".So I amputated the extra parts of the R's and B's. When I put the 30 "P's" in the tomato soup, most sank to the bottom. So I shot them on a black background. I put them back in the soup and took several shots of the bowl with the spoon precariously propped over it. The black background made it easy to cut out the P's, which were added to the soup in PSP 11 on a new layer (the spoon was placed on a separate top layer). All of the p's were "split" digitally. Some setup photos are in the discussion. I thought it would help when you next try this ;)
