Not Lyrid Meteor Shower [Monthly Theme]
Uploaded: April 21, 2007 11:35:08
Lyrid Meteor Shower visible around April 21st. I wish I could watch but the weather here in Northern California is cloudy today. Well, not too bad, I still can enjoy the show through my imagination.

wow, nice photo, William.....I heard this was the time for some really great viewings of meteor showers...I doubt we can see them here because it's very smoky from forrest fires....Tori #641901Vickie Skellenger April 21, 2007
I am a N. Cali person too and am disappointed with the viewing weather. :(Colleen Farrell April 21, 2007
Cool photo, William! Another N. CA resident here, glad for the rain today but ... :) #4194700William88 April 21, 2007
Tori, Vickie and Colleen, thank you very much for the initial comments. Forrest fires there? I hope you there are all safe. #4194791Mary K. Robison April 21, 2007
A very simple, elegant way to "view" the latest natural phenomenon when weather doesn't permit. Nice work, William! #4195094Carol Teal April 21, 2007
Very nice and imaginative image William! I am about to attempt to view the showers here in Florida about 3AM. Hope I see something as nice as your photo! :) #4195731Patrick Rouzes April 22, 2007

Thank you everybody for participating the imagination. I appreciate all the comments. The answer to the "how" will appear in one of my photo in the near future. Meanwhile, try to guess if you want. :D #4205724April Riggs April 24, 2007

Congrats on your finalist! My son and I went out that night to view the showers but we didn't see much! We should have just stayed in and looked at your image! :) #4361332William88 June 06, 2007
LOL. thank you for the message. I think we will have another chance to view pretty soon this year. Stay tuned. Last year, with clear sky, I have seen only 10 shooting stars in 3 hours. Hopefully I can set new record this year. #4373376Carol Teal June 07, 2007
That sounds about like our experience this time William! I do believe there are some showers that occur in August, so I will be watching for the time and date. And, if we have such dismal results again, you will have to be ready with a new photo for us to view! :) #4375087William88 June 13, 2007
I will suggest the camera design team to invent motion activate exposure circuit plus multi-exposure capability. Ha, sounds like a day dream. #4394095Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
