Beautiful shot, Ray and Audrey. I know EXA CTLY where you were standing when you took this pic. I was in London over the Christmas holidays..who knows, maybe we were there at the same time. I took a similar from the same vantage point during a torrid downpour.Beautiful capture! Sharp focus, good detail!

First, R&A this is a great capture - I love it! Second, I would like to know how you cope with carrying a tripod while being a tourist and visiting tourist places. I would have loved to have a tripod with me for night shots of New York recently but it was hard enough coping with hats, scarves, gloves, rucksack, guidebook, maps let alone carry a tripod also. Or could you possibly have found a convenient wall to rest your camera on? I did do that in Grand Central Station. #3938726Peggy J. Maguire February 14, 2007
R&A,this is so beautiful,Great job... #3946522Gary Lange February 16, 2007
WONDERFUL night image, R&A! I love it!! If you ever get a chance to go back, try this same scene at about 15-30 minutes after sunset and you'll have the best cobalt sky you ever saw (assuming of course it was a sunny day). Great work on exposing this, I really like it. #3955640Carolyn J. Connolly February 22, 2007
EXCELLENT night shot, Ray and Audrey!! The Houses of Parliament must be QUITE some sight to see at nighttime like this!! I really like your composition here, and your exposure is just right, too!! :o) #3977141Tamera S. Phillips March 22, 2007

CONGRATULATIONS on this excellent night shot Finalist, Ray and Audrey!Doug Elliott March 23, 2007
Nice image. I would like to make a few suggestions since you asked for them. You need to shoot an image like this earlier in the evening. There is no detail in the tower. It fades into the night sky. As suggested earlier shoot about twenty minutes after sundown. Use a hand held spot meter. The sky should be 1 to two stops darker than the lights of the building. Bracket you exposures. You will love the results.Stan Kwasniowski March 23, 2007
