The Polythemus Moth (Antheraea polyphemus) is one of the largest species of moth in the U.S.
Fully grown larvae can measure nearly 4" in length.
It's estimated that, from birth through pupation, these ravenous catepillars consume over 80,000 times their own weight in leaf material
