Description

Coyotes typically have a tough life living in the wild and without question they are a real challenge to Ranchers and to their Livestock. Leaving their reputation aside, when you are able to go Eye to Eye with the coyote their immense physical beauty radiates and it is very captivating.

Canon 100 - 400L IS at 390mm. Afternoon light, ISO 250, 1/100th @ f8.0, EC -1/3. (Fort Worth Zoo)

This is AWESOME, Jeff! He is one handsome hombre! (I think they have a bad rap: many of the problems with these animals occur because we stuck developments smack in the middle of their habitat. They used to drink from my bird-bath down in Mexico, yet they never did attack my cats! I think it was because they still had their open range - endless miles of it. Also, my dog was half-coyote and he chased them off!) What an outstanding capture! Great shot, Jeff! #3964604
