Rannoch Moor [Contest Finalists February 2007]
Uploaded: February 21, 2007 09:24:59
Manual mode, shutter 6", f/22, ISO-100, tripod, taken 2/12/2007 at 8:57am on a misty morning in the Highlands of Scotland. Since I clearly wasn't going to get brilliant alpenglow on this morning I chose to embrace the coolness of the scene. Enhancing levels in PSE5 brought out the blue just a tad more and Neat Image removed all noise from the loch surface. This is quite similar to another view I took but some people prefer this foreground over the first submission.
Exif: FNumber: 22, ExposureBiasValue: 0/1, ExposureTime: 6, Flash: flash did not fire, ISO: 100, WhiteBalance: manual white balance

Congratulations on the finalist. There is always something you can recover from some images and you found it. The rocks in the foreground added a lot of dimension and depth to the picture. You have a great gallery and thanks for such a nice tour of Scotland. Keep the pictures coming. #4177481Casey A. Hanson April 17, 2007
