Kevin , it is really sharp and blurr back ground. You used 500mm and 1.4 extender, that means which lense can assembly to it? Because I have a lense 28-300mm (f3.5, and I bought the extend. But I will return it, because it cannot assembly to it. #3703841Kevin P. Kelly December 15, 2006
MyPhoung - both the 500mm and 1.4 tele-extender that I use are Canon. Are you using different brands/models for both?Kevin #3706863

Both of them are the same name which is Canon. #3707152Kevin P. Kelly December 17, 2006
MyPhuong, you should contact Canon and tell them of your problem. Your tele-extender technically should fit with all Canon lenses and cameras. However, the visual results and practicality will very significantly with each lense. #3711001Kevin P. Kelly December 25, 2006
Jon, sorry for the delay on this, but yes, the 1.4 extender is compatible with EF lenses. I use it with my EF 500mm and EF 70-200mm, which both have IS. I hope this helps. Happy Holidays!Kevin #3738972

I brought my lense 28-300mm IS & 3.5-5.6f -lense to the Penn Camera, they told me. it could not. They only fit to the certain lenses. #3740972Kevin P. Kelly December 26, 2006
Myphuong, is your lense an EF series? Where did you buy the extender? Have you ever used B&H Photo in NY? They are a great resource for all types of equipment, and very helpful with technical issues.Kevin #3742066

Jon, refer to my advice listed above. B&H will confirm if there is a compatability issue with any of your lenses when using an extender. You should be safe with EF series lenses. #3742070Johnny Villaronga January 24, 2007
