wes. this photo is just too cool. it is one of most creative photos I have seen. I gotta ask... did you plan this to turn out this good or did you notice how synergized the forms and lines were after you took it?

Denny, it was really an accident that it turned out this way. Let me explain. I've done long exposure train shots in the past, so I had an idea of what it was going to look like. I knew the bridge was going to create one set of lines and the train another, and the water tower, still another.

However, at the moment I snapped this shot (a 5-second exposure) several cars with horizontol logs passed by, creating the lines you see from the train. That was a lucky coincidence.

Also, I was using a Sigma 10-20mm lens, wide open at 10mm and was standing about 10 feet from the train, so that gave this shot a unique perspective. #3414646
