Judy A. Lawhon September 27, 2006
Yes, Steve, this is beautiful. I love this effect on landscapes and this one is outstanding! #530185Deb James September 27, 2006
This is great, Steve. I really like this Orton effect. In your opinion, are there certain types of images with which it works better? #3374129Steve M. Harrington September 27, 2006
Thank you, Judy and Deb.Deb, since I'm still experimenting with the technique, I'm not sure. However, here are some observations. The image becomes dramatically darker, so I have been adjusting mine in levels at the end of the process. It seems well suited to landscapes, but as you can see in my gallery I also tried it on a people shot. Generally, I think it's effective on images where a "feel" is the main goal. Does that make any sense? #3374332

Thanks very much, Lynne and Karen. I'm really pleased with the way this turned out. I just wish I could give credit to the BP member on whose site I first read about this technique. #3375353Duane Carter September 27, 2006
This is very pretty, Steve! Don't know what the "Orton Technique" is, but I like what it does to the foilage and blooms. #3376065Steve M. Harrington September 27, 2006
