I think this is great Jennifer! Like the soft look and composition. #49460Shirley L. Carpenter July 31, 2003
Excellent image and composition Jennifer........ #154371Jennifer Ralston Philips July 31, 2003
Thank you both very much for the kind words! I must say that I'm thrilled with the compliments, since this is now my favorite picture of all. This is my little one, and she never ceases to amaze me when I look at her through the lens :) This shot was a lucky one, as most of mine are with her, and I only get about 1 or 2 good ones out of about every 50 since she never stops moving.Again, many thanks.

Oh, and here is the original photo in color.... I'm torn between the two!#154405
Kevin S. Lewis July 31, 2003
I can see why you're torn - they are both great. I do prefer that B&W though...there is a lot of texture within the background, the grass, her dress etc.Jennifer Ralston Philips July 31, 2003
You know, I agree with you Kevin. The more I look at the color the more I'm convinced that all of the color takes away from the texture of the background...particularly with what she is wearing....Thanks for the input!Jennifer #154436

Kevin - Thank you very much! I was thrilled and somewhat shocked, and I really appreciate(d) your words of encouragement. I've only just begun photography (took my first picture in May) and I have a new love and obsession. It is nice to think maybe I am doing something right. Again, many many thanks! #167775Mette Vendelboe Allison August 15, 2003
