Pike's Peak From My Window [Contest Winner Pool January 2003 Nature Photography and Landscapes]
Uploaded: January 30, 2003 10:30:53
The first thing I do each morning after rising is to look out the window at Pike's Peak. And the last thing I do as the sun sets is to look at this mountain. Here is how she looked one night.

Beautiful colors and layers, Jan. I to am an ex-Coloradan that still misses the mountains. #47577Lem Metro May 26, 2019
The old humpback gets plenty of exposure, doesn't it? With visibility from Colorado Springs to Victor and most points in between. Nice shot, Jan. #47591Bernard B. Travers May 26, 2019

Excellent photograph, Jan.Everyone is right in saying that the exposure is good. However, that is not what I think makes this photo. Personally, I think the composition makes the photograph. I really like the low placement of the landscape within the frame. It enhances the feeling of a great expanse.
Good work.
Cheers,
