red flowers & hummer [Contest Finalists August 2006]
Uploaded: August 22, 2006 14:12:46
Went to the greenhouse a week ago to pick up some red plants (great time to buy as everything is super cheap at the end of the season)
Set up the flowers near a pine tree , I find they always work well as a background depending on the time of day, you either get a dark green or black background. Which I think works well for making the hummers stand out.
Then the hard part...the waiting !!! After 3 days or so they start getting used to the new set up and me being there and yesterday I finally got a shot I was quite pleased with.
