Very beautiful image, Cary, great clarity, colors, lighting, and well composed!Cary Rogers October 08, 2006
Thank you Debby! I just took a gander at your gallery. Spectacular! #3423878Chris Budny October 08, 2006
Wow, other than the hint of blue in the center, I'd not have guessed a huge color shift took place. The pink looks quite believable, and the blue barely gives it an "unreal" look. Cool effect! #3424069Cary Rogers October 08, 2006
Thanks! After I had cropped the original mum shot, I began adjusting levels in PaintShopPro. When I got to saturation and brightness....I just kept shifting the color until I got something that tripped my trigger #3424316Sam Britt October 09, 2006
Great macro. Your use of effects gives this mum an interesting illuminated look.Melissa G. Meiselman October 09, 2006
Beautiful colors, lighting and details, Cary!!! #3428268Cary Rogers October 09, 2006
Thank you, Sam and Melissa. The mum in this picture was only a little larger than a quarter, and had wonderful mottled light on it. The natural color of this mum is off-white, graduating into a creamy-yellow color towards the center, which has a ruddy color. Thanks again! #3428417Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
