Description

My son and his friend Andrew were walking over a sand dune at the Pinery in Ontario. I Ortonized the picture (digitally) and then laid over it a photograph of a crystal from a science museum. I tried many interesting blending options and chose darken but lowered the opacity of the layer.

Outstanding image, Mary! I just love your work on this. I am finding out, the combinations of layers, light and blends are almost infinite! We say "Orton" but I think we all have our own private styles and they're all unique! Great job! #3612577

Before I layered the crystal image on, the Orton was a fairly standard (and nice) for a digital Orton. But the sky was blank and untinteresting and I decided to play with the cystal whose layers were simular in orientation to the lines of the dunes.
