Thanks Joy. The image colours seem to have come out more saturated than showed on my image software. It is hard to beleive that Page is only 14. Some friends of mine have started doing hair and makeup and wanted to get some images for their portfolios, so they provided the models for the day. It was hard to get Page to relax since her Mum was present and she has braces at the moment, so it was hard to get a natural smile. I had her rest her chin on her hands like this to try and reduce the puffy look around her mouth from the braces. This kid is going to do well I think as a model later on because she has the most stunning eyes and features.

Thanks to everyones comments.To Margaret W., No reflector was used, the sand does a good job of that when you have your model this close to the ground. An 81A warm up filter was used though to bring out more of the gold sunlight. I find that NPH400 to be a bit on the blue side, so the filter helps with this.The hardest part with this type of shot when the sun is so low is to keep yourself from throwing a shadow infront of yourself and into the shot. If you have a look at the image I have just posted of Meagan, you can see that I have placed the models at the top edge of the dune so that I can get down below them and reduce the risk of throwing a shadow. You can also use the light fall off (as I have done with the shot of Meagan) to keep the head and arms in fall light and use the drop off in light from the parts of their body that are falling into shade!
