Autumn Hull Workshops Has anyone heard of or tried the Autumn Hull online workshop on how to start a home based portrait business? I am interested in it, but it is $250 and my husband is skeptical......obviously, the only reviews on the site are positive. I am looking for some objective feedback.

Sorry, Susan, but I'm skeptical also. I think you could get just as much information on-line for free or look through books. I would also ask other photogs on this site. There are so many willing to give advice. You might look into mentoring with another photog in your area and don't forget to read up on the business aspect as well as lighting, posing, etc. Good luck. BTW, I've never heard of Autumn Hull workshops.

I checked out her website. It looks pretty straight forward. I suggest emailing Autumn and get a dialog with her and see if you feel comfortable. Ask her/tell her your concerns.

Susan, I agree with Dennis. I did an search at the BBB site and at resellerratings.com and found no listing. I guess all that means is nobody has complained about her. I did a Google search and got a few hits with nothing coming up bad. The link below at least may prove she is a legit business. http://www.manta.com/coms2/dnbcompany_tnvm3 Hope it helps.
