Flash PC Cord Problem
I have purchased a PC cord adapter for my hot shoe and a three way splitter to connect up to two or three studio flashes. I have trouble with the slave sensors (other photographers, sunlight, etc.), so I need to hard wire. Unfortunately, I find myself having to squeeze everything together in order to get the flashes to fire. I have the same problem when I fire even a single flash (without adapter or splitter) from my light meter. Is there a trick to getting PC cords to make a good connection?

"Squeezing" is probably your best option. I used to crimp the female end (gingerly), before connecting it, then twist it back and forth a few times to insure a good connection. I have never had much success with those splitters either.BTW,..Have you tried radio slaves? They will work in sunlight, and have different channels to select when other photographers are working the same event.
