Same photo numbers on D50 When I delete the images from my Nikon D50 the new images come in with the same numbers. Then I can't combine images into new folders without re-naming them and backing up is a nightmare. Any way around this?

I have the Nikon D80 and in the set up menu, there's an option for File No. Sequence. You can choose to have the file numbering reset at 0001 when a new folder is created, the card reformatted, or a new card is insterted (option OFF). You can turn the option ON so that the file numbering continues from the last number used. I don't know about the D50, but my guess is there's a setting for this.
