Nikon D50 - blinking screen

Okay, so for the past three weeks my Nikon D50 has been acting strange. When I take a picture, no matter what type of lighting I am in, the image appears on the LCD screen but a part of the image is always blinking with a whiteish color. I have uploaded photos to my computer and the photos have been fine, no blinking or anything. I'm just wondering if there is something I did to the lens? Or is it as simple as a setting problem?

Thank you!

The blinking areas are in the LCD display only and are simply an indication/warning that those areas are bright highlights that may be overexposed.

  Hi,

I had a similar problem with my camera, I have found a solution in a tech support website, maybe they can help you also.

here is the page for the Nikon D50: http://www.fixya.com/support/p441-nikon_d50_body_only_digital_camera

Let me know if that helps
