Problem with scanner...

Hi all. Not sure if this is the place for this, but I'm hoping someone here has had a similar problem.

I have an Epson Perfection 1260 Photo scanner. It scans photos fine using the flatbed, but when I attach the film/slide adapter, it cannot find the film. It USE to work, but isn't now. The adapter is attached properly, and it lights up as it should, but when the pre-scanning starts, the carriage in the scanner doesn't light up to actually scan the film/slide.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software/drivers, but no luck. I'm at my wits end and have nearly all my hair pulled out, lol. Any ideas?

Thanks

When you scan a print, you've probably attached some kind of flat screen to the scanner. To scan a slide or negative, this screen must be removed; otherwise the scanner will not recognize the slide/negative.

Yeah, I removed the screen before trying to scan the film. Actually, I tried it both ways just in case, lol. No go either way. I've emailed Epson support, so hopefully they can help me keep some of my hair :)
