Can Zoom Creep Be Fixed
I have a Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. It's about six years old now and the zoom ring seems to be loosening up. The zoom creep is not terribly bad, I only have a problem with it when it's pointing 170-180 degrees up. I was just wondering if this can be adjusted/fixed? Does it have to be sent back to Canon to be adjusted or can a "technician" at a pro camera shop do it?

I have a brand new version of that lens and it does the same thing. So I think the age of your lens is not the main issue here ... :
