How to set Auto FP on the Nikon SB800

I've read the manual more than once but cannot figure out how to set my SB800 along with my D200 to the Auto FP setting (cannot find the right combination of camera and flash settings to allow 'FP' to show on the flash). The manual doesn't give instruction on how to do this at all.

Do I have to have my camera set to manual mode?

Can anyone help me out?

Kristie

Auto FP is set on the camera. On the 200D it is Custom Function e1: Flash Sync Speed Setting (p. 160). Choose the "1/250s (Auto FP)" setting. I think the Flash Sync Mode setting has to be set for Front Curtain Sync as well (p. 77).
