How to dis-engage a lens hood from lens
HiI have recently bought a Minolta Maxxum 70 SLR camera with an AF 28-100 lens. The lens hood was part of the standard equipment and came attached to the lens in the reverse position meant for storage. I cannot figure out how to disengage the lens hood from the lens. Its not budging at all!!! Any suggestion/ help will be highly appreciated. Satrajit Das

Satrajit: A few lenses come with built-in hoods, but I don't think yours does. Did you try rotating it? Cheers! Peter Burian

Thanks for the suggestion Peter. I already tried rotating it. But the entire telescopic part of the lens body (the part which moves while zooming) is rotating along with the hood and I am afraid I will damage the lens!! Regards. Satrajit
